Sara Impey
Sara is a textile artist who specialises in the techniques of quilt making. For the last 20 years her work has featured free-motion machine stitched lettering which she uses to comment on contemporary issues.
Her work is in national and international collections, including the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Museum of Arts and Design in New York and the International Quilt Museum in Nebraska.
She has been juried into the major US exhibition Quilt National six times.
Her book ‘Text in Textile Art' was published by Batsford in 2013.
