I work from home in Colchester in my spare time. My late father was a talented artist working in any medium but mostly with oils. He could pick up a ball point pen and a scrap of paper and produce a masterpiece and try as I might, I couldn’t.

My interest in art came alive again when my daughter, having been given a book on how to draw, asked for help. In helping her, I found I could produce some passable drawings.

My true calling though was to work with watercolour. I took up that challenge two years ago. My paintings are taken from photographs or downloaded images from the internet, and my preference is for realism rather than abstract but not going as far as photo-realistic.
