Michael Pinnock

Drawing and painting has been a lifelong interest of Mike. Although originally a self–taught artist his passion was later supplemented by many courses at the Colchester Adult Education Centre and a contemporary art group at Cuckoo Farm. Encouragement has been received from numerous respected tutors.

A love of the countryside has been a major source of inspiration resulting in most of his work being landscape in nature, both representational and abstract. Trees, barns, rivers often feature in one form or another. Acrylic is his favoured medium.

Membership of the Tuesday Group, Colchester Art Society and Mile End Art Group has provided many opportunities to exhibit at a variety of Colchester venues including The Minories, The Colne Gallery and Colchester Institute.
