M. Coskun ‘Josh’ Sanus

Coskun ‘ Josh’ Sanus who was born in 1948 completed his middle education in Istanbul, Turkey and Illinois, USA. He carried out higher education at Yildiz Technical University of Istanbul and graduated as an architect in 1972. He settled in the UK in 1974 and practiced architecture in south eastern counties until his retirement.

He began painting post retirement in 2011 and finds landscapes in watercolour and acrylic mediums of most interest. He has had a dozen exhibitions in company with a group of painters in Essex, and has a continuous display at No. 4 Gallery in West Mersea, Colchester and in Turkey.

Having established his studio in the UK he works from on-site sketches and photographs both in the UK and Turkey by painting his passion, landscapes, as his main subject. His ambition is to paint light and mood in nature.
