Lawrie Flood

I am a self taught artist living in Tollesbury, on the coast of mid Essex.

I am originally from Exeter, Devon, and moved up to the area in the late 90's.

I have always loved drawing and painting from a young age, visiting my local museum aged around 8 years of age (on my own! It was the late 70's/early 80's) to sketch and draw the animals and artifacts on display.

Since then I have painted on and off for quite a few years. But in recent years I have had more time to paint more.

I work full time as an HCA at a local hospital, so I fit art and picture framing into my spare time.

I love using oils, though I have worked with acrylic, watercolours, and pencil, plus other mediums.

My preferred style is a loose approach, but I always like to experiment with different techniques and tools.

It would be fantastic to be able to paint full time, but I imagine all artists feel this way.

I hope you enjoy my work. Please get in touch if you have any questions, or for collaborations for exhibitions or projects.
